Cody and Garth record this podcast in Redwood hills between the Pacific Ocean and the Silicon Valley of California.

Cody was once a true believer. As a child he aspired to be a cryptozoologist. He now has a degree in Anthropology and does all of the reputable research for this show. Cody spends hours and often days preparting for each episode. In additon to his scholarly research, Cody can be seen to possess a strong moral compass, much stronger than Garth's, who tends to equivocate. Cody loves Terry Pratchett and is an excellent cook.

Garth is a freelance artist with an interest in Astronomy. As a child he aspired to fly. He has never believed in anything supernatural and but considers himself spiritual in some sort of vague way. Garth cannot be said to have actual musical talent, but he does occasionally exhibit musical charisma during the Garth's Corner segments. 

Garth tries to be the devil's advocate to Cody's assertions, but they often find themselves agreeing so the podcast lacks any real dramatic conflict.
